Don't look directly at the SlenderMan

       So I watched the new movie SlenderMan tonight.  It seems very much a new take on an old tale.  The SlenderMan is summoned by some sort of ritual, not too far off from the rituals of old for Bloody Mary or CandyMan.  Once he has been summoned you cannot escape...
       The movie has some promise.  It is entertaining for the most part but I would be hard pressed to call it very scary.  There are hardly any goosebump creating moments.  The SlenderMan seems very unimposing most of the time.  It almost seems as though the people are only afraid of him because they know they are supposed to be.  
       I would say that the movie is worth a watch but it is not something I would say people NEED to see in the theater.  Give it time to come out streaming or however your preferred method if you are not sold on the ticket price.  Until next time...
